FLSEMI ER0S Heterogeneous Gateway: Self-Powered Bluetooth to 5G DECT NR+ Infrastructure Platform

FLSEMI delivers mission-critical wireless infrastructure and information management systems by deeply integrating Nordic Semiconductor’s multi-protocol portfolios. Our flagship solution, the ER0S Heterogeneous Gateway, serves as the core bridge between zero-maintenance endpoint sensors and large-scale facility management networks (via PoE/IPv6). The solution heavily leverages Nordic HW and SW ecosystems in the following ways:




  • Nordic HW Integration (nRF5340 & nRF9151): The ER0S gateway utilizes a dual-radio architecture. For the local capillary network, we deploy the nRF5340 SoC paired with an external Front-End Module (FEM, SKY66405) to maximize the link budget and sensitivity. This ensures reliable reception from our proprietary self-powered (energy-harvesting) Bluetooth LE and Bluetooth Mesh/NLC mechanical switches. For the long-range backbone, we integrate the nRF9151 SiP to run the 5G DECT NR+ protocol. This provides a Sub-GHz - 1.9 GHz, ultra-reliable, high-density backhaul capable of supporting >1 million nodes/km² with over 2km line-of-sight coverage.






  • Nordic SW & Ecosystem Utilization: Our embedded software is built entirely upon the Zephyr RTOS and the nRF Connect SDK (NCS). We utilize Nordic's low-level PHY APIs to implement highly customized MAC/PHY layer configurations for DECT NR+ (e.g., precise FTDMA sub-slot scheduling) and seamlessly manage the multi-core processing of the nRF5340 for advanced Bluetooth Mesh routing and network coprocessor operations.


  • System-Level Delivery: By combining Nordic’s low-power silicon with our Power over Ethernet (PoE) hardware design and Energy Harvesting technologies, we deliver a completely "battery-free" sensing and control infrastructure purpose-built for commercial lighting, smart buildings, and industrial automation.
